Miso Japanese Restaurant

This restaurant is located on Stafford near Pembina Hwy. in Winnipeg, MB. When you walk in the entrance there are a set of stairs where you have to walk down.

The people who work here are really friendly and i thought the food here was alright. It was honestly not the best sushi i had but it was okay.

I really enjoyed the Shrimp tempura, the dynamite and Philadelphia rolls were okay. What i didn't really like here was the Miso soup. It just tasted bland to me. They also serve you water with cucumber in it. Now that's something different.

CHOP
STEAK FISH BAR
1750 Sargent Ave. Winnipeg, MB
Tel. 788-2015

I always seen a sign going to Chop (Steak, Fish, Bar) restaurant every time i pass the airport here in Winnipeg but i have never been there until this month, July 1st, 2009 since it opened up in 2007.

The first thing that i noticed as soon as i entered the restaurant was the huge doors with circular windows. They have really nice chandeliers. You will never find something as unique as that. The cutlery are really nice. Especially the steak knives. I have never seen anything like it.
The people that work there are really friendly.
They serve you some fresh bread with whipped butter and after they serve you with the main course.

I ordered the 7 oz. top sirloin steak with infused mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal veggies on the side. It was awesome. One of the best steaks i ever had in my life. I tried steak at other places but this has got to be one of the best.

Even the washrooms are nice. it has it's own huge door to walk into with a little vacancy sign if it's occupied or not and the sinks are sensored so you don't have to worry about turning the tap on or off. It has a cool fireplace beside the door. I don't know if it' just a display or a real one. hehe.
To end things off, when we got the bill it was kind of pricey. It's good to go there if you have lots of money. But i can't really complain because the food was awesome.
